Our vineyards

Ribera del Duero

Vineyards located in the Valladolid towns of Peñafiel, Fompedraza and Pesquera de Duero and Gumiel de Izán in Burgos, at an average altitude of between 720 and over 1,000 metres above sea level. Continental Mediterranean climate with long, cold winters, dry, hot summers and a wide temperature range between day and night.

Clayey in the lower areas and chalky in the higher areas.

The varieties used in production are Tempranillo and Albillo Mayor.

RÍAS BAIXAS

Subzone of Condado do Tea (municipality of As Neves, south of Pontevedra), 100–300 metres above sea level. The low altitude, proximity to the sea and Atlantic influence result in mild temperatures and high rainfall, with the River Miño having a significant influence.

Shallow, granitic and sandy.

The varieties used in production are Albariño, Godello, Treixadura, Loureira, Mencía, Caíño, Pedral, Espadeiro, Brancellao and Sousón.

Cigales

The entire vineyard is located in the Valladolid town of Cigales, with bush vines ranging from 70 to 80 years old and trellis and bush vines between 20 and 30 years old.
Continental climate with Atlantic influence and significant temperature fluctuations. Cold, long winters with frost and fog. Summer drought.

Sandy and chalky with gravel.

The varieties used in production are Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Verdejo, Garnacha and Garnacha Gris.

Argentina

The vineyards are located in four geographical areas:
GUALTALLARY: Tupungato, 1,280 metres above sea level. Located in one of the most extreme and exciting areas for Argentine wine.
VISTA FLORES: Tunuyán, 1,050 metres above sea level.
PAMPA EL CEPILLO: San Carlos, 1,100 metres above sea level. South-east facing. Extremely cold area, allowing us to achieve healthy and balanced ripening of the grapes, with naturally low yields.
PARAJE ALTAMIRA: 1,100 metres above sea level
Good temperature range, with cool nights and sunny days.

GUALTALLARY: Biological formation, with bacteria, plants and rocks involved in its composition.
VISTA FLORES: Deep with alluvial and aeolian sediments, composed of sand, clay and carbonates.
PAMPA EL CEPILLO: Varied composition of sand, caliche and large stones covered with calcium carbonate.
PARAJE ALTAMIRA: Clay, sand, silt and limestone.

The varieties used in production are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Semillon, Sangiovese, Ancellotta, Criolla and Tocai Friulano.

Ukraine

LAMBRIVKA: 40-65 metres above sea level. Temperate climate influenced by the Black Sea. Mild, with warm summers and mild winters.
SHABO: 30-50 metres above sea level. Moderately arid climate, influenced by the Black Sea: mild winters and hot summers.

LAMBRIVKA: Chernozem is an extremely fertile, black soil rich in organic matter, potassium and phosphorus.
SHABO: Sandy.

The varieties used in production are Odesa Black, Telti Kuruk, Pinot Noir, and Sukholimansky.
